Well guys, although this won't be a full review it would rather be a quick introduction to the newly acquired Foretrex 401 by Garmin. For some of  you who might not be familiar with Foretrex, it's a handheld GPS, although it lacks the capabilities of the full-size GPS's of Garmin, the compact size 7.5 x 4.3 x 2.3 cm (or 2.9" x 1.7" x 0.9" if you are not a fan of the metric system) and the minimum weight 87.3 g ensures the most comfort and the reduced silhouette when you wear it. Now, as far as the functions themselves, you have almost everything you could ask from a hiking/trail GPS. You can set waypoints to guide you from a place to another, tracks where you can save a track and retrace it, routes, jumpmaster, elevation, speed, a compass, the only thing that lacks is a full-scale 2D or 3D map which again, depending on the use or the situation, you might not need it. But anything else that you might need when you are up in a mountain, is all available at your wrist and if you combine the Foretrex with some other equipment from Garmin, such as their action cams or their fitness belts, then you can have a full track of biometrics to footage etc. Truly an amazing piece of equipment which I look forward to using to its full potential at a milsim game. I hope you liked it! Till next time you can enjoy some photos!
